Why Meditation is Important

The act of meditation is a process of quieting the mind, of releasing ourselves from the noise of external and internal distractions. It is bringing our singular focus to experience the quiet and peace of our inner being.

Eugenia MarveIf we cannot listen, how can we experience the hoped for answers to our prayers, gain strength to accomplish tomorrow or the compassion that leads to evolution. It is in the quiet of our being that we see more clearly, for we are the observant and diligent gardeners of our soul. We can plan and cultivate an inner place of determined beauty, affirming and bringing the light of love or we can let our minds be overrun with weeds of fear.

We do not become loving, attentive gardeners that produce a noble soul by being negative and fearful. The world is not made better when we make ourselves small or see others as less than. As spiritual beings we must judge and save ourselves. We go inward for strength and clarity that our thoughts and actions may be healing.
